The Draft Rating List – what does it mean?

The Draft List informs how your business rates are calculated. The list was released by the Valuation Office Agency on 30 September 2016 and provides the opportunity to evaluate proposed 2017 valuations and the accuracy of the survey detail.

CVS is able to use the Draft List information to assess the valuation details held for your property and can confirm if any action is required to ensure you pay the correct amount of business rates for your premises.

CVS successfully challenged a large number of Draft List valuations in respect of the 2010 Rating List, ensuring that our clients benefitted from savings at the earliest opportunity.

Acting on the Draft List does not prevent a further challenge to the new rateable value once the 2017 list is realised in April 2017.

CVS continues to work closely with the Valuation Office to make the online process as simple as possible, and we are ready and waiting to put our Surveyors to work on your behalf.
