New Appointments- Four ex-VOA Staff ‘switch teams’

Thursday, October 26, 2017

We at CVS are thrilled to announce that we have recently appointed three new Senior Surveyors and a Specialist Referencer. What’s more, all four staff have come to CVS straight from their positions at the Valuation Office Agency, bringing a staggering 88 years’ combined Rating and Public Sector experience to our ever growing business.

Their previous experience of working at the Valuation Office Agency will only serve to bolster our exceptional and in-depth knowledge in the valuation of commercial property.

The new appointments include:

Elizabeth Draycott (MRICS) joins as a Senior Surveyor in the North West of England and North Wales. Elizabeth has over 16 years of experience in both the public sector and at the VOA. She has a particular passion for Office and Industrial properties.

Simon Penny (MRICS) joins as a Senior Surveyor in the South East having spent almost 19 years at the VOA where he has concentrated predominantly on bulk classes such as Shops, Offices and Industrial property. Simon also has an extensive understanding of trade related valuations.

Jon Abbott (IRRV) joins as a Senior Surveyor in the North and Central London. Currently studying for his RICS accredited BSc (Hons) in Real Estate Valuation, Jon’s vast experience at the VOA in dealing with retail based properties will prove invaluable to us.

Timothy Eyre joins as a Specialist Referencer working from our London office. Tim worked at the VOA in commercial referencing for 32 years and is now responsible for the initial factual ‘Checks’ for North London properties.

Our unique business model is 100% focused on saving clients’ money on their business rates bills. We need a strong team of Surveyors to do that and this latest wave of appointments increases our capability to negotiate hard on behalf of our clients.

A VOA background offers a unique insight, and at a time when the 2017 List is picking up pace, it’s fantastic to see yet more experienced Surveyors choosing to join CVS at this exciting time.

It is another positive move for the business and demonstrates our commitment to further growth and expansion following the long-awaited 2017 Revaluation.
